The "Drifter"

May 2008

We had a great social on April 26th. It was a good turn out and the
grilled badger was fantastic. After the social the wind picked up for
a while and a few boats went out. After returning to the docks a few
brave souls built a nice fire in the fire pit and sat around and
listened to music provided by Michael and Greg.

Last Saturday Michael put on a seminar on working on a outboard motor
and how to troubleshoot problems. After that Michael did a seminar on
in-board diesels and trouble shooting. There was a good turn out and
Michael provided great information. We then spent about 3 hours
working on Rene's motor and fixed the problem and got it running like
a new one. Thanks MIke!.

About 6:00pm a few of us were on the dock enjoying the 40-50 knots of
wind when L dock broke loose. After a couple of intense hours with
everyone working together, the Marina staff and us were able to get
everything tied off for the night. During the day on Sunday, the dock
was moved back into a better position and chained off to the shore.
Don't forget to check the calendar to see the events for Memorial day
weekend. We are having the pay to sail day that weekend. Make sure
you are there.

Enjoy your sailing and sail more.
