Ahoy Spindrift members.
The board of directors had a board meeting this month. We have set up a pretty busy schedule with a lot of races, fun sails, small boat races, raft-ups and socials.
Sue Oates did a great job on the new calendar listing all the activities.
We have a new procedure for the socials. Board members will do all the cooking for the socials. This will take away the stress from 1 person trying to cook for 40-50 people. Members still need to bring a covered dish.
A change on race days is also taking place. Everyone will have to work the committee boat at least one day. This will not affect any one's standings. We will also take any volunteers to help set the marks before the race.
We will have some training sessions before the races.
I believe the skippers meeting will be at 12:00 with the races starting at noon. Yes, we will have food after the races.
We are looking forward to a great year.
